Church in the Community

Loving God and loving people means we want to bring hope to our communities. We are committed to blessing our neighbours in Ladywood, we also look for ways to encourage people wherever we meet them, where we live and where we work. We serve our Ladywood community alongside other churches in the following ways -

  • We run Kids Alive for children aged 7-10.
  • We are very involved with Karis Neighbour Scheme and Baby Bank Central, some of us work there and others volunteer.

As followers of Jesus, our aim is to bring his hope and transforming goodness into the lives of the people we meet.

New To Church?

Whether you’re looking for a new church, have recently become a Christian, or don’t know Jesus yet and are just trying to find out more, you’re welcome to come along and get to know us. We’re all on a journey in our spiritual lives. Here at Church Alive we’d love to help you take some next steps. We know a God who loves us and loves you, we have found that knowing him gives our lives meaning and purpose, as well as connecting us to a family where we truly belong. We’d love to share this with you.

Church on Sundays

Our Sunday services include a mix of activities, all focused on Jesus.

Church on Sundays

We’re a family of believers who love God and love each other. This characterises our Church meetings on Sunday mornings. There’s a mix of activities, all focused on Jesus: we spend time singing praise and worship to God, we listen to Bible teaching, we pray together and we share experiences of how God is making a difference in our lives. There are groups for children and young people to attend, based on their ages from crèche to teenagers. Afterwards we enjoy refreshments together. It’s a family time, led by the Holy Spirit. Come along and see for yourself: you’re welcome to join in or just to observe, we’ll be thrilled to see you.

Church Global

Church Alive is part of a world-wide family of churches called Lifelink Global. The churches share a commitment to apostolic authority. This is a vision of how churches function based on gifts which God has given to each person who belongs to it. The Bible sets out some key gifts which help guide how we are led. These can be found in Ephesians 4:10-13.

It's really precious to us to be involved in what God is doing beyond our city, we offer our support however we can to partners across the UK and around the world. We've developed close ties with churches in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Bulgaria in particular, giving financially but also travelling there to encourage our friends when we can. Among us are those who've also been to places like Mongolia, the USA and India.

Our mission is always the same: to love God and love people!

Church Life

Church is more than Sundays. We spend time together in lots of ways.

Church Life

Church is more than Sundays. We are a family. We believe in being there for each other whatever the cost. We spend time together in lots of ways week by week. We have Life Groups, where we get together to share meals, pray, have fun and encourage each other in following Jesus. We host groups for women, for men, for the teens. We have Bible studies where we sometimes follow a theme, other times we might volunteer together in the community or we have BBQs and parties just to celebrate being together. We really value unity, we think the best of each other all the time, and we stand with each other through the ups and downs of normal life. We love the children amongst us, they are as much a part of the family as the adults and everyone gets to be part of what we’re doing. It’s all part of how we love God and love people.
