Ministry to the Homeless
A small team ventures out into the city centre two or three times a week to reach out to the homeless. 
We distribute coffee, soup and sandwiches to those sleeping rough and sometimes clothes and blankets that have been donated. We have some good times listening to people and chatting about Jesus. It isn’t always easy. There have been occasions when the people we meet have been drunk or aggressive. But it is very rewarding to build relationships with those on the fringe of society, praying with them and helping them overcome their problems.
We also point people to organisations that can give further practical help. We have some good links with these and we have organised Awareness Days where we learn about each others work and the need in the city and where we pray for each other.
