'Hello, I’m Steve Watts and it’s my joy and privilege to be an elder in Church Alive. I used to be a secondary school teacher, teaching CDT and Science, but now I get to teach God’s Word! I’ve been married to my lovely wife, Helen since 1981 and we have 3 grown-up children. It’s a blessing to be working alongside Helen in leading the church – I think we make a good team! I enjoy photography and DIY in my spare time, and Helen is a keen amateur astronomer and reader of books! We both love people and our home is always open for hospitality and fellowship.'

Leaders

We have leaders working in lots of areas of church life. There are homegroups, children's work, musicians and singers – all sorts of things! Steve and Helen are not the only preachers, as many of our leaders also share the Word of God on Sundays. Our leaders come from all walks of life and they serve God faithfully and generously. We really appreciate them!
