Drop In Centre
A regular Drop In Centre has grown out of the ministry to the homeless. Among those who come to us are a few rough sleepers.
We provide coffee and sandwiches and an opportunity to relax and socialise as well as talking about Christianity. We organise games of snooker and dominoes and run trivia quizzes. There are also activities organised by a local artist. People quickly come to feel at home and find they have a part to play.
We offer advice and support to people on issues such as housing and finance. There are Christians from other churches who support the Drop In and we receive referrals from other local organisations.
On occasions we have arranged special treats such as a curry at Christmas and a day out to Stratford in the summer.
We have built some good relationships through the Drop In Centre and have seen a number join us in other church activities.
